Dr. Joanne Kim

Dr. Joanne Kim was born and raised in Southern California.  She received her Bachelor’s from the University of California, Irvine and earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the University Of Houston College Of Optometry.

Dr. Kim has been in the optometry field since 2007, with her first role as a Doctor’s assistant at LensCrafters. It was while volunteering at a OneSight event that she discovered her passion for eyes and the ability to help people look, see, and feel better. Since then, she has continued to volunteer at  vision events and missions to help improve people’s lives through the gift of sight.

Dr. Kim is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and an optometric glaucoma specialist. She is experienced in the medical management of a variety of ocular conditions including dry eye disease, myopia management, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.

Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and visiting her friends and family back in California; she mostly spends all her free time with her husband, dogs and 2 kids.

Tyler

Dr. Tyler Dang

Dr. Tyler Dang was born in Orlando, FL, and was raised in New Orleans, LA. There he attended Xavier University of Louisiana where he got his Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Dang then moved to Houston, to get a Doctorate in Optometry at the University of Houston.

His professional interests include dry eye management, diabetes, macular degeneration, contacts, refractive and cataract surgery co-management. He makes sure that every patient leaves with a full understanding of their ocular health and for them to feel like family.

In his free time, Dr Dang enjoys cooking, watching sports, movies, gaming, and going to the gym.
